Carnivore Cut Day 1: Elevation 10,300 ft — The Cut Commences
June 4, 2025
Guanella Pass, Colorado
Welcome to Carnivore Cut Day 1. I’ve officially landed at 10,300 feet. No more theory. No more planning. This is the starting line. The cut begins now.
This was arrival—plain and simple. First day on the mountain. I just got here today. No training yet because I was busy setting up camp and adjusting to altitude. The indulgences were intentional. I knew I’d be going strict, and I let myself enjoy a final wave of flavor before locking things in.
Settling In on Carnivore Cut Day 1
Today was all about transition. This was day one of arrival, focused entirely on setup, acclimation, and laying the groundwork for what’s ahead. I needed to land. To breathe this air. To figure out what my new baseline feels like at over 10,000 feet.
Living at elevation changes everything—your breath, your energy, your mental clarity. Even walking with gear from the car to camp reminded me this environment doesn’t hand out strength—you earn it. That’s why I’m here. No distractions. No noise. Just work, wilderness, and what matters.
Fueling the Shift
I also gave myself permission to indulge last week before arriving here. Coffee. Cheesecake. A ridiculous amount of fruit. It was intentional—a final taste of sweet before flipping the switch. I don’t regret it. It reminded me of what I’m leaving behind—and why it matters.
Now it’s back to basics: meat, water, salt, discipline. The Carnivore Cut Day 1 foundation is built on simplicity and precision. Everything extra is out.
The Tradeoff at the Start of Carnivore Cut Day 1
Here’s the truth: I liked the sugar high. It hit hard. But the gut discomfort came just as fast. Bloat. Sluggishness. The reminder that this isn’t fuel—it’s friction.
No improvements yet. Nothing got harder either—because I haven’t started pushing yet. But the contrast between indulgence and discipline is already sharp. The dopamine is short-lived. The crash is long.
What Carnivore Cut Day 1 Reinforced
I made a deliberate choice to indulge before arriving—no shame, no excuse. It’s done. Now the cut begins, exactly as planned.
This place demands presence. You don’t coast at 10,300 ft. Every day here is an investment. And Carnivore Cut Day 1 marks the moment that shift became real.
It reminded me what clean feels like by contrast. That clarity is coming. The next entry will be tighter, sharper, cleaner.
